This week marked a significant milestone for Te Āhuru Mōwai and our Switched On Building Solutions team, as ten new homes at the Tuki Street development in Tītahi Bay were officially opened for the whānau who will soon call this place home.
The occasion opened with a blessing from Ngāti Toa kaumātua Dr Taku Parai of Ngāti Toa Rangatira, honouring the whenua and the whānau who will live there. TeĀhuruMōwai Chief Executive James Te Puni spoke to the impact these homes will have for generations to come - a sentiment felt throughout the day.

The most meaningful moment came when some of the new tenant whānau saw their homes in person for the very first time which was a powerful reminder of why this mahi matters
