Peter Lord Appointed as Group CEO of Kā te Rama Switched On

Kā te Rama Switched On Group are proud to announce that we have appointed infrastructure and facilities management leader Peter Lord as our new Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 2 June 2026.

Peter’s appointment represents a major step forward we continue to evolve as a leading community development and infrastructure enterprise bringing together Switched On Group and PAE NZ under a single leadership structure, strengthening alignment, scale, and delivery across Aotearoa.

Lord joins us from Citycare Property, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2020. He brings more than 25 years’ experience leading large, complex organisations across infrastructure, property, and facilities management, with a strong track record in organisational transformation and long-term asset stewardship.

Reflecting on Peter’s appointment, Kā te Rama Switched On Group Board Chair Paul Rogers says:

“Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of watching Peter grow and develop as a leader. Throughout that time, he has demonstrated a thoughtful and grounded leadership style, strong commercial judgement, and a genuine commitment to people and performance. I have great respect for the experience, perspective, and capability he brings, and I value the depth of skill he will contribute as he works with the team to guide the business forward.”

Lord says the opportunity to lead the Group was compelling.

“This role brings together the scale, complexity and purpose I was looking for in my next challenge. Kā te Rama Switched On Group has a clear vision for the future, strong foundations, and a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful impact for communities across Aotearoa.

“What stood out to me was the alignment with the Board and Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira - a shared commitment to long-term outcomes, strong values, and making a genuine difference. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on that and shape the next phase of the Group’s journey.”

With Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira as our majority shareholder, Kā te Rama Switched On Group is a uniquely Māori-owned national provider spanning facilities management, asset management, construction, and social housing. With Peter leading the way we will continue to focus on integrating our businesses, strengthening national capability, and delivering long-term value for our customers, communities, and iwi.
