Interim Switched On CEO Appointment | Welcome Aaron Smith

Kā te Rama Switched On Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Aaron Smith as our Interim Chief Executive Officer. He brings with him deep experience in supplier relationships, retail operations, and aftersales service, as well as a wealth of knowledge in the business sectors.
This appointment will see Aaron take over from Andrew Radburnd, who has been acting in the CEO capacity since the step down of Chris Hughes last April. Andrew has provided leadership and stability to the business this last year, and we’re very grateful to Andrew for all his work in this role. Andrew will be moving back into his role as Chief Financial Officer.
While recruitment for the Group CEO position is continuing and remains a priority for the Board, the business looks forward to welcoming Aaron into the whānau in the interim on the 26th of January.
Aaron joins Switched On from his role as Chief Executive Officer of C B Norwood Distributors Limited. He brings 34 years of experience across the capital equipment and industrial sectors, having begun his career as an apprentice diesel mechanic before progressing into senior and executive leadership roles. Aaron has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Keith Andrews Trucks, and as General Manager at Gough TWL and Group Transpecs.
The Group remains committed to its strategic priorities, including transitioning PAE NZ into the group, strengthening leadership and wellbeing, and exploring growth opportunities across Aotearoa. Aaron’s experience and perspective will add value to Switched On Group during this important period.
