Kā te Rama Switched On Group General Manager of Health, Safety & Environment, Kristal McGill receiving Highly Commended.

We’re proud to share that Kristal McGill (Ngāpuhi), our incredible General Manager of Health, Safety & Environment, was awarded Highly Commended in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing | Wairuatanga category at the Building Institute Aotearoa Building People Awards 2025!

One judge summed Kristal up perfectly: “She supports the small guys” lifting tradie teams with tools, trust, and genuine care.

Kristal says “Kā te Rama means the light that shines and that’s exactly my team and our people have done - lighting the way to better safety outcomes through genuine engagement, cultural understanding, and practical, real-world solutions across our social housing maintenance mahi and build projects to support our hapori to live in better, safer warmer homes. Being recognised alongside the best in our industry is an honour and leading this team is a privilege something I’m incredibly proud of.”
