2023 South Island Trade Forums

Our South Island leg of the 2023 Switched On Housing Trade Forum tour kicked off in Ōtautahi this week with Nelson, Blenheim, Westport and Greymouth to follow later this month.

Following on from the success of our North Island Trade Forums, we were excited to continue the celebrations with our Ōtautahi trades at Cowles Stadium this week. Recognising the mammoth amount of mahi our trade subcontractors complete at Kāinga Ora homes is one of the key focuses at our Trade Forums. Our trades work hard to provide a quality service and an exceptional customer experience and so it's important we acknowledge this effort.




Our tradies dig into a BBQ breakfast provided by PlaceMakers Christchurch.

This year we invited Jared Donald from The Tree People up to discuss ways his team celebrate their wins, ensure they're providing excellent customer service and overcome challenges they face on the job. Partnership is at the heart of Te Mahi Ngātahi and seeing our trades share their knowledge and experiences with one another is a true example of this.
