Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity 

The Health Safety Learning & Development Officer's job is to ensure health safety learning and development standards are being met and ultimately working to improve them. 
You will do this through providing audit, checks and quality training with the outcome resulting in an improved Employee and contractor experience making sure all of our people get home safe each night.

 

Ko wai koe | About you 

  • Prepared to go the Extra Kilometre for our People & Customers and their Health, Safety and Well being
  • Recognised qualification in Health and Safety or related experience (Preferred)
  • Recognised qualification or training in accident investigations (Required)
  • Recognised qualification in Adult Assessor Training (NZQA - 4098) (Preferred)
  • Working towards or has Tertiary qualification (Preferred)
  • 4 years previous operational Health and Safety experience in a construction or similar industry
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment
  • High Attention to detail and ability to own it
  • Team player who loves what they do
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously 
  • Communication is your middle name - you thrive pulling people together and ensuring they understand the outcome
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
  • Passionate about your own and others learning and development
